Islam is made up of three main things which are as follows,
1 faith
2 good behaviours ( al ihsaan)
3 islam
Let me begin by breaking down one by one
Faith which is to believe in one GOD ,believing in GOD's angels,believing in GOD's prophets,believing in GOD's books and these include the qur'an which was given to prophet muhamad pbuh,the injil which was given to jesus pbuh,the tawrat which was given to prophet musa pbuh,and then zaburi which was given to daudi or you can call him david pbuh,you also need to believe in the day of judgement,you should also believe in GOD's wil here you believe that everything that happens to you whether good or bad is from GOD,all that i mentioned above are the six pillars of faith.
Let's talk about the second thing that make up islam and this is good behaviours(al ihsaan)prophet muhamad pbuh said al ihsaan is to worship GOD like your seeing him and even if you don't see him ,he is always seeing you.
Prophet muhamad pbuh said(some one with a complete faith is that person who behaves well in the comunity)and in another hadith prophet says (fear GOD every where your ,and if you do something bad try to follow it with something good the good thing you do will rub off the bad thing and stay with people in agood way.
And the last thing that make up islami is islam which is to testify that none should be worshiped apart from GOD and also believe that prophet muhamad pbuh is his prophet and his massenger.
Prophet muhamad pbuh said(islam is made up of five pillars who ever fulfils them you will have fulfiled islam and whoever fails will have broken islam,
These pillars are,1 testify that GOD is the only one to be worshiped and prophet muhamad is his massenger 2 praying five times aday 3 giving out charity 4 fasting the holy months of ramadan 5 going mecca for pilgrimage.)
Otherwise islam is a religion of peace and humankinde and respect, like umar ibn al khatwab said (there is no islam apart from working together)and prophet muhamad says(congregational prayer is better than praying one person with a benefit of 27benefits) this indicates that everything we do in islam we are paid this shows the value and the importances of being a muslim.
Islam is also a religion of mercy like prophet muhamad pbuh says (someone who is merceful in this world GOD will always put his mercy on him,so put mercy to peaple arround you and GOD will put his mercy when in heaven)
So muslims out there let us realise the gift and the value of islam.
